Do I have to he worried about my camera at notting Hill carnival?
I would like to visit the carnival on monday bank holiday, before noon. Must I be worried because of my camera? Nikon d 2100, est. 700pounds. I have never been to such a big Event and don't know if it is dangerous.
You don't need to risk a £700 camera, take a cheap one.
Because of how crowded it is I personally would take a camera that expensive as there's always a possibility of pickpockets etc or just simply dropping it by accident. You want to be enjoying yourself not be worrying about your £700 camera. Can you not borrow a cheaper camera from someone or just use your phone. Seriously I've been to Notting Carnival several times and I always travel light. I have heard so many stories of people losing phones etc. Pack light if you can.
Yes, pickpocket central. Take a small cheap camera.
Like in any busy place don't be daft and you will be fine.
Keep belongings securely tucked away, with your camera keep it around your neck and hold onto it when moving through crowds.
