Digital Professional Photo program similar for Nikon (NEF files)?

Does anyone know of some program similar to Canon's Digital Professional Photo that I can open NEF files with? It seems that i can't open it with DPP…

Nikon includes ViewNX with all cameras that shoot RAW. I recommend that you buy Lightroom 4, though.

Photoshop, Lightroom, Elements, Capture NX2, Gimp, and so on. Probably just about any software other than a Canon proprietary program.

DPP is a program written to open the Canon proprietary CR2 RAW files ONLY
Lightroom is probably the best program for opening RAW files produced by any cameras.
