Decent non-expensive camera for cinematic filming?
I need a camera that 'at least' will work just as well as the Canon 70d. Just a camera for pointing and shooting. My price range is at least under 800 or 700. I tend to do a lot of fast movement and under extreme desert sunlight and cloudy weather. Sometimes maybe at night.
I know I'm gonna be suggested a dslr from canon/nikon/sony etc. And believe I know how well they work but I need a camera right that'll work just as well as them.
Get a real camcorder.

DLRS can be so annoying when shooting video… They hunt all over the place to find focus or won't let you change focus at all, they blur the background when you don't want it blurred, they turn themselves off after about 12 minutes to save overheating. OK the sensor may be bigger but they don't use all of it anyway. For a specialist using different lenses I can see several advantages though…
Yes, when Canon set the retail price on the 70D they said, "There are other cameras just as good or better selling for less, but we'll charge more anyway."
Actually you can get a T5i on your budget, and it won't be as good or better than a 70D, but it can still be close enough to give good service and value.
Sony Handycam.
