Customs clearance in india?

I'm a returning citizen of india from South africa, visiting india for a month. I'm carrying my personal laptop and a Nikon digital camera with me. Do i have to pay any duty at customs or i would be allowed free of charges at the customs, please advise.

No. You do not have to declare it since they are for personal use and have no commercial value. Simply pass through the Green channel at the customs line and in case having stopped, reply that the items are your own. Laptops and cameras are easily allowed if for personal use. You won't have a problem.
