Convert 29.97 fps to 23.976 fps without slowing down?
I have footage that has been recorded at 29.97 fps in full HD which I would like to convert to 23.976 fps to give a movie-like style, but I don't want to speed up or speed down the footage. Is there a way to convert it without loosing the quality? I'm running After Effects CS6 on Windows 8 64x if that matters, the camera is a J1 Nikon.
Try xilisoft video convertor. It's pretty awesome.

It won't work! There's a lot more to getting "the film look" than just shooting at 24 fps. Have a look at the link.
Best way to obtain the film look, since you are using after effects, look into COLOUR CORECTION.
rather than drop the quality/speed, work on the tone of the video.
to change 30p to 24p: change the options on your camera
or
change the properties and rendering settings of after effects to 24p (if you only change one, it will slow down/speed up the vid)
