Does it matter what type of lens you use? I really wanna get a Lumix GF2, but I have Nikon lens… Would that work or should I just get Panasonic Lens?

It would if you have an adapter, but the lens will not offer autofocus, image stabalisation, or even auto metering.

Better stick with panasonic lenses that are designed for the micro 4/3rd system if you don't want to deal with the inconveniences.

Sell the Nikon lens to save from the cost of the Lumix.

Nikon lens can't be fixed to Lumix GF2 body directly. Although you can use the adapters. It is not a good idea, for the auto focus is not available with the adapter.
Why do you want a GF2? Is it fashionable? May be sony NEX is more fashionable. Is it more quiet than DSLR Sony A55 is also quiet and better image quality.
Nikor lens are most suitable for Nikon camera.
