Can you name a good lens for wildlife photography?

I'm a beginner and lower budget ones wld b better.
and please tell me the diff b/w Canon/Nikon lenses and Sigma Tamaron lenses. Is the later of cheap quality? Coz they come in lower budget.

For wildlife, a longer lens like a 200mm or 300mm is often preferred so you can stay far enough away without disturbing the animals. If you are doing insects and such, then get a macro lens.

The difference between Canon and Nikon lenses is, well, you can only use them on Canon or Nikon cameras. Sigma and Tamron makes lenses for both Canon and Nikon. They are cheaper, but not necessarily inferior. I have heard alot of photographers say very good things about Sigma at least.

You are stepping into an area of photography where you need to spend a fair amount of money to get nice results. Unfortunately long lenses are pricey and you need long lenses to shoot wildlife. Sigma and Tamron will work fine for you. I would consider 300mm a starting point for wildlife. Pros use longer lenses and prime lenses, not zooms. 400mm to 600mm is a good range when you are ready to take the plunge. As a beginner, just get what you can afford.
