Can I use the lenses from a nikon N75 SLR on the body of a nikon digital SLR?
Yes. But you may need a D90 or D7000 or better to get autofocus.
Depends whether they're AF or AF-S.
While both types will fit, the budget Nikon DSLRs (3100, 5100) don't have body motors and need AF-S lenses if you want autofocus. There are no metering restrictions.
I've got an N65 and am able to use all my lenses on my D50, D70, D200, or D300 cameras. But, on entry level Nikons, such as the D40, D3100, etc, only the AF-S lenses would autofocus. The others require manual focusing, but would mount and meter just fine.
My Sigma HSM lenses work on either level of Nikon DSLR.
