Camera for Macro Photography?
Okay, I need some help. Every time I try to read about which camera to get, I find a million different answers, none of them saying the same thing. (Plus, I'm extremely new to photography; I've only really used my iPhone to take pictures… So I still don't know what half of the photography terms mean. Yikes. Talk about overwhelming.)
Anyway, my question is this: What is the best DSLR camera for a beginner to get for macro photography? And what macro lens should I get for it?
I want to use it to take pics of other things, too, of course, but mainly for macro pics of things like flowers, mosses, little bugs, etc. (Especially bugs!)
Well first of all, its all in the power of the lens to take macro photography. You can get any kind of body that you like, either a Nikon or Canon, all up to you. Next is the lens, you can choose what kind of lens you want to use, there are a few out there. There are lenses where you have to be really up close to take the picture, and other ones where you can be far away like the 100mm 2.8. Its better to be far away when photographing bugs, as you never know what might happen, for example a lense that you can use if you want to take pictures and be close to your subject is like a 50mm 2.5. Hope I Helped! Macro photography is fun!
