Blurry camera pictures?
I took some pictures using a cheap Nikon compact digital camera and when going back to look at them most came out blurry. The environment I took the pictures in had poor light and there was a lot of movement from the people in the picture.
I have taken good pictures in good light with moving objects in the past.
Is there anyway that good pictures can be taken without the blurriness or do I really need to get a more top end compact camera to get good pictures in that situation?
Check it is able to select picture speed? If not snd uiu are sure it isn't you suffering camera shake, then invest in better camera.
You have a big thumb, move it off the lens and the pictures will be crystal clear!
That is completely normal. Without a large sensor camera with a large aperture lens, you can't get shutter speeds high enough for clear pictures. Perhaps you could use a tripod and capture the blur in a controlled manner.
If you shoot in low light without flash, then the camera will pick a slow shutter speed to try to get enough light on the sensor. Slow shutter speeds result in subject movement/camera shake. You either need to use a flash or put the camera on a tripod (& hope the subjects don't move).
With a DSLR you will have a larger sensor, so going to higher ISO's is less of a problem, and you have the option to switch to a 'faster' lens, ie one with a wider aperture to capture more light.
Ultimately though, cameras can't work miracles - if there's not enough light, there's not enough light!
