The "best" digital cameras are DSLR's and to "click the button and it takes a snap picture" You would put it on the Sports setting. Canon and Nikon make great DSLR's. Go to best buy or Target or your local photo shop and find out the best options for your budget!

My canon T3i (dslr) has 18mp and shoots quickly. My canon XS280HS (point and shoot).takes pictures quickly if you are out side or have plenty of light.
