I would like to be able to come from the headphone jack (audio out) and put it into the audio in on my D3300? I don't want to blow any speakers in my camera.

Not directly, the headphone out audio level is too high a voltage to use for a mic input. Radio Shack used to sell a line level to mic level converter. The converter consists of a 50dB attenuator.

You would need a 35 to 40 dB attenuator to prevent the D3300 from recording distorted audio.
