Are there any Nikon DSLR's that film in 60fps?
I'm looking to buy a new NIKON for photography, but I also do video. So I'm considering buying a Canon, but I don't like doing photography with a Canon, so are there any Nikon cameras that film in 60fps
And i know when you say film generally it means on film rolls but i'm talking about digital video, the terminology is irrelevant
Nikon D5200 gets 60 fps @ 1920*1080 which is full Hd. Pretty awesome.
Panasonic GH2 not a bad alternative.
These are preferred in terms of price and ability in my opinion. Both are good at photography and video.
Cheers, hope that helped.
The D4 does and I would guess the D800 as well.
The two answers above are correct.
"… The terminology is irrelevant"
As you get further into shooting video, you will find that indeed terminology is NOT irrelevant. When you are trying to communicate with the people on your team, understanding all the terms in still, video and film are absolutely important
You will eventually find this as you attend school and get further into to whole craft of film making and video. Using the incorrect terms during a test could mean the difference between an "A" and a lower grade, especially if you make a habit of it
Learn the correct terms as you go along so you do NOT have to unlearn bad habits.
Nikon, if you mean full HD or 1080p at 60fps the answer is none.
That goes for Canon and Pentax too.
The only dSLR type cameras that can do it are Sony Alphas. You didn't mention a budget. The Sony A57, A65, A77 and A99 have the option to shoot full HD at 60 fps. The other brands offer full HD at 24 or 30fps or offer 60fps at 1080i, or 720p at 60fps, it all depends on the model.
The Nikon D5200 can can't shoot 1080p at 60fps, only 1080i according to their site.
