Nikon SLR Cameras

Are there any bridge cameras that have a plug in charger?

I'v been looking at bridge cameras for a while and i've decided i want one for my birthday which is in 1 month. I had my eye on one (Nikon Coolpox L310), however, i have only just realised that you have to use AA batteries. I would prefer one where you plug it into the wall or charges by usb, rather than continuously buying batteries (or regular rechargable batteries). Anyone got any suggestions?

The only to over come that is to buy recharge AA batteries. They will do exactly the same thing as a proprietary battery will.

NO rechargeable batteries in digital camera can be charged through the USB data port.

The "L" series Nikon cameras use AA batteries and are optimized to use NiMH rechargeable AA batteries. The best of those are the low self-discharge NiMH batteries.

If you want Li-ion rechargeable (much greener), look at the "S" or "P" series Nikon Coolpix cameras

The best and easiest way is to visit a local camera shop (NOT bestbuy or walmart), and explain to then how much you can afford AND what features you are looking for (like a Li-Ion battery… Lithium Ion. NOT AA)

There are many "bridge" cameras that come with re-chargeable batteries and chargers. Canon - PowerShot G1 X, PowerShot G12, PowerShot S100. Nikon - Nikon 1 J1, COOLPIX S9300 just to name a few, I'm sure Sony, Olympus and most other name brands also offer this option.

(yes my answer was Canon heavy, that's what I shoot with)
