Am i able to adjust the shutter speed on a digital camera?

I have a Nikon 110 and its big, looks kinda like a SLR but it isn't. So I was just wondering if I could adjust the shutter speed I'd really appreciate it if someone helped, thanks xoxo

under Photography features, this model lacks manual control. My guess is that to bias the auto settings to more speed or narrower aperture you may have to choose a scene mode.
