A (aperture priority) and S (shutter priority) won't work on Nikon d3300?
I switch the dial and they just shows up as M (manual) and it's basically like having 3 manual modes on my mode dial. The camera is brand new why am I having this problem?
Which lens is on it. Is the lens properly attached?
It is clear that this is your first fully adjustable camera
Get out your user manual and look on pages 100-113
Follow those instructions.
Remove and reattach your lens to make sure that it is correctly attached.
If the camera does not communicate with the lens, the camera thinks that you have a non-CPU lens attached and they can only be using in the manual mode
Strange problem. I really doubt that there's anything wrong with the camera. I suggest resetting your camera to factory defaults (it's in the menu and explained in your manual) to eliminate the possibility of some erroneous setting causing this problem.
Why is it that we only get these questions from Nikon users? Not one from Canon, Pentax, Sony, Fujifilm, or Panasonic users.
