Which camera should I invest in? (expert opinion please)?

So I have been looking at different DSLR cameras for a while and there are just so many to choose from I would like an expert opinion on which camera would be the worthwhile. I have narrowed it down to a couple of choices the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 or the Samsung NX20 20.3MP. I haven't really looked at any Nikon cameras but i have looked into leica cameras (too expensive for now). I mainly want to use it for personal pictures in outdoor settings and i would like to invest in a smaller camera to take around. I'm a beginner photographer and have never had a DSLR, which should i buy?

Samsung and Leica don't make DSLRs, Sony (more or less) and Pentax do.

Find out what a DSLR actually is, then work out a budget and consult a local dealer.

I would recommend you to visit www.ankaka.com and compare all the dslr cameras according to their specs and the price range before you decide to buy a camera for yourself.

The Samsung is not a DSLR. Leica makes rangefinder cameras, not DSLRs.

If you are going to invest in a system you should go with a company that makes it's own lenses. Nikon or Canon are both fine camera manufactures. They make their own lenses. Investing in either system should do you good in the long run. Remember that the lenses made by the camera maunufactures are optomized for the camera sensor so buy accordingly.
