Often traditional camera stores will accept trade-ins.

But this is not an expensive lens, and given this is the lens that comes with all entry level cameras as a kit, there's not a lot of aftermarket demand for this lens. Mostly it would be someone that broke their lens.

Therefore, I would not expect you would be offered more than $40 for the lens. You might get $60 or more on eBay, etc. But not as a trade in.

It is a relatively cheap lens so a shop won't give you much for it. You might be better off selling it on eBay or similar.
Or, search for Camera Shops in your area.

That lens will retail used at around £$40 so at best you will get £$10-20 for it.
Your best option is to sell it on Ebay where you will get the £$40 for it.

Because that lens is always supplied with low to mid price DSLRs there's not much market for it second-hand. Only if you were to find somebody who had broken their kit lens could you expect a few dozen dollars/pounds for it.

If you're in the UK, something like Cash Converters or a similar shop. Failing that, eBay?
