What's the perfect camera for me?

I'm a little new to the filming world and I would like to know which camera would be the perfect fit for me. I've narrowed it down to nikon and candnon cameras, but I'm leaning towards Cannon because I've work with them more and I think it'll be easier to use them. I just need to know which model I should purchase. My budget ranges from $0-$900 depending on the model I wouldn't mind spending a little over $900. But I want to start making short films, nothing too professional, but something with quality if you get what i''m saying. Thing's that I would like in a video camera:
*great focus… Something that doesn't get out of focus to quickly
*pull out screen, so I can shoot from difficult angles
*interchangeable lenses
*high mega pixels
*nothing to heavy
*touch screen
I'm 16 years old and would like to pursue a career in media productions… I just need to know where to start. I hope i'm not being to broad, but I just need a great first quality camera. Thank's in advanced

Hi. I've actually been using this camera: http://www.bswusa.com/Dynamic-Microphones-Electrovoice-RE20-P2218.aspx For a few years now. I think I've filmed roughly 2-3 of my screenplays on it. Works like a charm.

Only problem I've noticed is when you're using a "Digital lens" some of the frames may unfocus for a brief second. It's not really a big problem, but the editors notice!

I recommend you to take canon 60D. The quality is good but it's not a full frame camera.

If you want to make videos the megapixels don't really count. It's even better if it doesn't have too many of them. But from what you are saying the only possible camera is the 70d but it's over your budget so you'd have to go with the 700d. You should know that with dslr's you can't really use the autofocus in video and if you want to make short films you surely want the cinema look. Well you can't get this with a normal camcorder. The bigger sensor of a dslr gives you better depth of field whereas a camcorder has pretty much everything in focus.

I would tell you to not go with a touch screen and buy the 60d and spend the rest of the money on some good glass.

Oh and on the equipment. You'll surely need a microphone and other stuff. Other things are optional but helpful.
