What do you mean by second purchase? Do you already have a DSLR? Is that also a Nikon? Which one is it?

I'm with Ciao Ciao. Second body? What do you have now? I'd look into glass.

Why do you need a second body? You would be better getting or upgrading lenses

Nikon D7000 without doubt, i'm still with the D90 personally but my husband recently upgraded to the D7000 and wow what a camera! The quality and range of settings is amazing, i'm most definitely going to save for this as my next upgrade.

My husband paid £894 for his a few weeks ago in Jessops so it is in budget and worth every penny, he won a competition and got a day with pro photographer Terry Whiittaker who uses this camera, he had actually emailed Terry and asked his advice and he said that unless you can afford to go for an actual pro camera then the D7000 is the best Nikon out there.

We also read countless independent reviews about it and it is so highly rated too, it actually rates higher than some of the newer Nikon DSLR cameras.

Lens is important but personally i do not agree with the idea that you don't need to upgrade the body, a lens is important but a better body will give you so much more including the wider iso range that makes a massive difference, my husband is shooting at night on an iso of 100, that is impressive and gives an amazing quality of photo because less light means less depletion of colour in the image, a lesser body can't do that.
