Opinions on Nikon L820?

Like all Nikon "L" series camera, the L820 is an entry level camera, and only has the most basic of features. This is OK if all you want to do is take snapshots, but if you want to do any advanced photography at all, this is not the camera to do it.
In reality, it is just a point & shoot with a big lens made to look like something it is not. But then again, so are all bridge cameras.
