I have a Nikon D40 and canon 550D?
I have a Nikon D40 and canon 550D I want to know whether i can connect pendrive to these camera with any port or using any other additional ports which can be brought somewhere else outside. Specify the name of the port and steps to connect it.
"Specify the name of the port and steps to connect it."
A "please" would be nice, instead of issueing commands.
There's such a thing as a SD to USB adapter, but it is doubtful if such a thing can be added to these cameras, as it requires you to leave the door open behind which the SD card is put into the camera. Such an adapter might simply not fit in there, or the camera refuses to operate while that door is open.
E.g. Like this discontinued one:

Either way, it's quite a pointless thing to do, even if one can get it to work.
I'm sure you have a wire that comes standard with these cameras to connect to PC. You can obviously connect a pen drive to PC.So, you can have pen drive connect to camera with PC being the interface.
But then, that is why we have the 'memory' for the camera. It is literally the pen drive connection to the camera minus the USB. And you can always insert that memory directly to your computer for whatever. I guess I can't understand why you would need a pen drive for a camera, if there was a need then manufacturers would have taken care of it.
