How much could I sell a Nikon 3100 for?

I have a Nikon 3100 that is barley used. No scratches or anything! I used it probably 4 times. I have a larger lens that I got with it and bought the whole thing for 780 at best buy. How much could I sell it for on perhaps eBay or Craigslist?

A third of what you paid for it - if you're lucky.

You can buy it brand new with the 18-55mm lens for $450. $325?

You can buy a refurbished D3100 with 18-55mm lens for around $350, and depending on the second lens you have, anywhere between $50 and $100.

A refurbished cameras will come with a 90 day warranty. A used camera, such as your camera will not include a warranty, so you will have to adjust your asking price accordingly.

The problem is that even if the camera is brand new, your D3100 has been replaced by the D3200, so no one will pay top dollar for a camera one generation old?

Once you bring out a camera from the store, the price drops by half. If someone would be willing to spend on a nearly brand new price, they'd rather buy from the store and get the benefits of a brand new camera, warranty and all. The only way to sell your camera and lenses is to sell them at a huge loss unless you can trick one of your friends into buying it at slightly lower than store price.
