Would a Nikon AF 70-300/4.0-5.6 G fit a d3000 and d4?

Hi i'm thinking about getting the Nikon AF 70-300/4.0-5.6 G for my d3000 and d4, i'm not bothered about auto focus just would it fit on the mount?

It will fit, but if you put a cheap lens like that on your wonderful D4, the pictures will look more like they were taken with a cheap lens than with a wonderful D4.

Almost all Nikon lenses will fit on any Nikon camera.
It will work fine on the D4.
It will NOT auto focus on the D3000.To auto focus on the D3000, it needs to be an AF-S type lens.

Fits both. Meters on both.AF on D4 only. To be honest it will be wasted on a D4.
