What's the safest way to buy Nikon D3100 from Amazon.com?

I'm asking a friend to buy a Nikon D3100 and bring it for me from France but I don't know how to order it. I found this:
http://www.amazon.fr/Nikon-D3100-Reflex-Objectif-18-55/dp/B00403MA4M/

And it says "de Nikon" meaning "from Nikon". Does that mean it's the official channel of Nikon on Amazon and it's safe to buy it from there?

Thanks

Added (1). Fhotoace: thanks but I don't live in the US so getting a US warranty is not going to do me any good. And I do know that buying it from France is gonna cost more but I don't have anyone to bring it for me from the US (and I don't have a credit card to but it myself)

While the camera is probably coming from an authorized Nikon dealer, you will not be getting a warranty for the US. Any warranty that come with the camera is only viable in the EU

Here is what you can do. Buy one using Amazon, but here in the US

http://www.amazon.com/...003ZYF3LO/

The price of 388, 54€ is actually higher than the price of the same camera and lens from Amazon here in the US, $446.95 at present exchange rates.

388, 54€ will cost you over $500 at current exchange rates. It will cost you less to buy the camera here and you will have a full US warranty

My guess is that you did not research the final cost to you before planning to have the camera purchased for you in France
