What is an average size for a tripod?
Will any camera fit in a tripod? (If you need to know the camera, it is a Nikon D3200)

Tripods come in different sizes, but the most important is the mount. On the bottom of the camera, smack bang in the centre, should be a threaded hole. This is where the tripod mount screws in. The mount then attaches to the tripod.
I have several tripods, ranging from one that when fully extended, is just under 2 metres in height, and a smaller one (125mm) which is not adjustable, height wise, but has flexible legs. I also have a monopod which extends to over 2 metres, but telescopes down to about 450mm.
Q: Will any camera fit in a tripod?
A: For all intents & purposes, yes.
It would be difficult to find a camera that won't fit your camera if you look in the right places. An average size tripod would be around 3.5-4 feet tall and cost about $50.
