Olympus Stylus 1050SW shutter speed?

I got the Olympus Stylus 1050SW over a year ago, And I honestly love this camera. I wouldn't even trade it for a Nikon D7000 that's how much I love it. True, the lack of interchangeable lenses bugs me, and its slow auto focus annoys me to no end, but I still love it. Now, I've really been into trying to capture "flowing water", when the photograph shows that sort of motion blurred water over a clear and still background. The only problem is, my camera is either unable to change shutter speed or I haven't found out how yet. I've looked in my owner's manual but it doesn't mention shutter speed once. Does anyone know if it's even possible to change the shutter speed?

On that camera, no. You can't. Manual controls come on more expensive point and shoot cameras, and on bridge cameras.

Your only hope is to fool the camera into a slower shutter speed by setting the ISO to 80, your lowest value. This will give the longest exposure time, but it still might not be slow enough to do what you want.

Ig you really wanted to force the long exposure, a neutral grey filter could be held in front of the lens. This darkens the scene without changing colors. Darker scene-longer exposure.
