How to speed up the shutter speed?
On my Nikon D5200 DLSR camera.
In your fine manual, read page 56, 57, 59-61. If you don't have your manual, download it from Nikon's web site.

CAMERA MANUAL
I'm puzzled that someone can buy a good DSLR but not know how to use it.
It just took me all of 3 minutes to figure out how to do it. The only reason I needed to use a PDF of the manual was because I didn't have the camera in front of me. If I'd had the camera, I probably could have figured it out without the manual. Here, educate yourself…
You only have control of shutter speed in 2 modes - full manual and shutter priority.
In all other modes the camera sets the shutter speed automatically.
When using flash you can only use shutter speeds 1/200th or slower.
What worries me most about questions like this…
is… What would you people do without the internet? Seriously ditch your computer, why don't you try going outside, visit a local library… And read a book…
because your computer isn't doing much for your I.Q.
Shout at it like a drill sergeant.
