Nikon D300 help needed?

I have a D300 that I'm having problems with. When I take photos with any lens the pics come out looking as if they have a slight effect t over them. I would best describe it as the paint daubs filter form photoshop. As you can imagine them means my pics are not coming out crisp looking anymore. I did have the camera and all the lens sent back to Nikon two years ago for cleaning. Also setting the camera back on default factory specs does not help.

How annoying and it's only 6 years old. If it isn't set to the wrong colour space or somehow set in Vivid, or the in-camera sharpening is set ridiculously high it may be time for a new camera. Is the sensor still nice and clean?
