I took my nikon d3100 out in the rain? Worried something might be wrong?
Well first of all it wasn't pouring rain, just spitting. I had an umbrella and originally a bag cover the camera but not the lens. And I took that off… I was out for about 30 minutes and the camera didn't get too wet and I dried it off right after but I'm worried something happened to the lens.
So can it handle much rain? Do I sound good or should I be worried?
The picture seems a bit blurry! So I'm worried.
Added (1). Thanks, is there a way to fix this? I'm so not going to take it out in the rain again.
You should be ok, with maybe a possibility of spotting on the lens glass. That's why I have UV filters on all of my lenses, should dirt or water get on the lens, I don't have to worry about scratching the glass of the actual lens.
No it will be fine… Just clean your lens with a lint free cloth… If your cautious, then take it to a camera shop and they will tell you
It should be okay, but in the future use a product called "Rain Sleeve"
