How to transfer photos from laptop to sd card?

I tried copy-and-pasting photo from my laptop to the sd card I use for my nikon d3100. I successfully copied the photo to DCIM --> 1000DCIM folders but then when I use my camera, the photo that I just transferred won't show up. Can transferring photos from laptop/pc to sd card be possible?

Yes, you can definitely transfer photo's from your pc/laptop to an SD card. However, because of the decoding methods your camera uses, you're unable to view the pictures.

You will only be able to view pictures on your specific camera that you have actually taken with the camera. It's not necessarily made to be a picture viewer.

So, I would recommend using your camera to take pictures so that it loads them on your SD card, then upload the photo's onto your laptop/pc. Correct: Camera > SD card > PC. Incorrect: PC > SD Card > Camera.

I hope this has helped you! I know people would ask "Why would you want to view photo's on your camera?" But you're not the only one, I've had the same problem.

You can just connect the your sd card the you can't copy and pest
just send the file
after that you can move the file in your sd card one place to another place you want to copy
lets try

Joint the SD card with your SD card holder, then connect with your Laptop, that SD card will show in MY Computer with drives, after that copy photos and paste in your SD card. Then eject SD card.
