How to repair a Nikon D3100 Lens?

See I accidentally dropped my camera it's a Nikon D3100 (not from too high) and the lens 18-55 mm got messed up, and now it sounds weird when I try to take a picture with it and well it doesn't take pictures. So i was wondering is there a way I can fix it by myself? If not then how much would the repair cost? Would it be cheaper just send it to someone that knows how to repair it or just buy another lens? (If there's a way to fix it by myself, and someone can tell me or leave a video on how to i would really appreciate it). So yeah I really need an answer like really quickly please! I'm desperate! I need the camera lens to work! Please SOMEONE THAT CAN Help ME

No you can't fix it. If it's repairable that will have to be done by a professional. But I wouldn't bother because unless it's an $400 lens it'll probably be cheaper to replace than to repair.

Dropping your camera may have caused more than just damage to your lens, the lens mount may have been damaged as well.

I suggest that you contact Nikon and get the name and address for your local authorized Nikon repair shop.

In the future, you MUST take better care of your camera. It has a neck strap, so you need to get into the habit of using it.

We can't tell you how to fix it without knowing what you mean by "messed up"
In any case, it is VERY unlikely you can do anything yourself as a lens is a complex piece of equipment.
Send or take it to a camera repair centre and get an estimate for repair. Then you will have to decide if it's cheaper to buy a new lens.

You can't.

Either you bring it to the service center for repair or you buy a new one. Then again, most often if the lens is broken, so is the camera too so have them both checked.
