I bought a battery grip online and it says that it is for the nikon d3100 and d3200. However i do have the nikon d3300. Will it fit? I mean will it fit snuggly?

Nikon does not make a dedicated battery grip for their D3xxx series of cameras. But every grip I find online for the D3300, also lists compatibility with the D3200 and D3100.

Physically, the D3200 and D3300 are only a few millimeters apart, they both use the EN-EL14 battery, and most D3300 grips also list the D3200 as compatible, so I would say it's safe to assume the older grips will fit

And the grip screws into the original tripod mount on the DSLR, so even if it's a little large, it should be tight

Just a side note: most battery grips for the D3000 series are recognized as non-genuine batteries, even if a genuine battery is in the grip. To bypass this, you will need either older firmware or custom firmware (eg NikonHacker) that removes/disables the anti-third-party-battery
