Can't choose a DSLR?

I finally decided to buy a DSLR, i did some searching around on the net and decided to buy the Nikon D3300, but a few commenters say that the Nikon D5100 has better image quality. Others even say that i should get the Pentax K-500, because that's the best beginner DSLR. Could any of you help me pick one of these three, or maybe suggest something in the same price range, because i'm kinda on a tight budget.

You might want to also look into Canon. It's the most chosen by professionals world wide… That should tell you something.

I'm a Canon guy, I own a t3i, a camera you should really look at before you decide.

Nikon do have better image quality over Canon recent year because of the Sony sensors. Canon just adding tech to their line (70D) and not upgrading their sensor. I wanted to buy 70D but sadly they didn't remove AA filter from the sensor.

For image quality D5300 > D5200 > D3300 > D5100

Canon is having a T3i sale, you might want to look into it. The image quality won't be a good as D5100 but is pretty good for the price. http://shop.usa.canon.com/...id=C126149

Don't fall for the image quality nonsense… There isn't a case for an argument at entry level… Sure if you intend to spend a lot of time inspecting your images with a microscope or magnifying glass then you'd be better spending more time researching the image sensors and articles about megapixels.

Most people considering an entry level camera want the camera to take photographs… Not for inspecting image quality.

I personally prefer Pentax cameras, I use Nikon though… A D5100, D7000 and D7100… You couldn't tell what photo was shot with what camera without looking at the images EXIF data…

I recommend the D5100 because it always amazes me… The image quality is superb… And it's lots of fun to use.

The best thing you can do is give the local camera store a visit and ask for a demonstration of the different cameras… There isn't much difference in quality and i'd recommend you to buy the camera that you prefer the most after you have handled them all… Drop the D3300 and go for the D5100 it gives you more room to grow into, check out the Canon range too and that Pentax might just be the one for you…

Check You Tube for some reviews and comparisons… Here's a quick You Tube clip that's worth viewing… The advice contained in it is pretty accurate… I know my answer isn't helpful… It's best to take your time though and get a camera you'll enjoy.
