Any Nikon SLRs that actuall have room for your fingers?
Looking to upgrade my D90 but the D7100 has LESS room between the grip and the lens. Ditto the new D750. The old D300s woulda been perfect but had the stupid buttons in the way. I need room for my big fingers and I don't want to feel the ends of them touching anything. Seems like Nikon is backsliding here.
Why in the world would you want to upgrade your D90? I'm keeping mine forever.
But, if you insist, the Nikon D3X should be big enough for you.
Actually, I'm surprised that you found the D750 too small. It is actually larger than the D90.
Whatever huge camera you decide to get, add a battery-grip to it for better handling. The additional room at the bottom will enable your fingers to spread out a little more for better traction.
What you need to look for is a battery grip which give you plenty of extra grip for your fingers and it will offer an additional shutter button for when you're shooting vertically. It's the way to go. There's one for your D90 and the D7100. Off brands of battery grips are just as good from what I read. They may not have the exact fit and finish of a Nikon, but they can be $200-$300 less and they work the same way too.
