Nikon don't make battery grips for their 'entry level' cameras… You can fit a 'third party' battery grip designed to be used with your camera… The Nikon cameras that Nikon support with battery grips start from the D7000 and D7100.

The build quality of third party grips isn't that great, though for the price they are cheap enough to replace I have read that all the third party grips for the D5100 will operate fine with the D5200 and D5300 i'd check reviews though just to confirm this.

You will find some reviews on 'You Tube' of the different grips, might be worth a quick search.

Nikon does not make a battery grip for your camera. Since this is a new camera, you may have to wait for a good 3rd party battery grip.

But why a battery grip? They make the camera heavier (although a heavier camera can be a bit more stable at low shutter speeds), and unless you are buying a big telephoto lens, you probably don't need to counterbalance the weight of the lens.

That is one reason why Nikon does not offer such a item as there are not a lot of entry level DSLR owners buying $2,500 lenses.
