Having trouble setting interval on remote for DSLR?

amber
I have the Nikon D5100 and the Wireless ShutterBoss Vello remote. I want to take 1 picture every second for an hour or two. However i can only go to 99 seconds, so its only taking 99 pictures.arent the point of wireless remotes to take long exposures and stuff for long periods of time? I was just wondering if i can take multipul pictures for hours, like am i missing something?

No. Most remote shutter releases are not that sophisticated. You need to look into an intervalometer.
