I've been using the 600D for almost a year and a half now.Everything is fine with the camera except the grains i get on high iso levels so I'm thinking about buying a new body. Can anyone suggest me a good canon model with good low light performance within 70-80 k? I've become attached to canon and own quite a few lenses so I would like not to move over to Nikon.

A newer model would give slight gain, if any.
Are you using high ISO to avoid using a tripod? F so, get the tripod. A GOOD one.

If you do not already have a digital SLR, here is a link which will help you pick the best low light performing camera that will fit your budget.

You will see that the Canon 600D is not all that great when it comes to low light (high ISO) performace when compared to comparable cameras made by other companies.

Canon EOS-1Dx

Aimed at the same professional audience as the Nikon D4S, the Canon 1DX also has a full-frame sensor but the pixel count is just a little higher at 18million.

Nikon D4S

The D4S is Nikon's workhorse SLR for professional photographers who need to be able to take photographs in a wide range of conditions.

Sony Alpha 7S

The Alpha 7S was the third in Sony's Alpha 7-series of full-frame compact system cameras and it's specifically aimed at videographers and photographers who need to shoot in to low light.

Samsung NX1

With a pixel count of 28million the Samsung NX1 is the highest resolution APS-C format camera available. While a high pixel count doesn't usually bode well for noise control, the NX1 fairs pretty well thanks in part to the fact that the sensor is back-illuminated giving its photosites more room. It also has an excellent hybrid autofocus system which performs better in low light than the AF systems most other compact system cameras.

Nikon Df

While the main attraction of the Nikon Df maybe it's retro-style controls, it also has the same 16.2Mp full-frame sensor as the excellent Nikon D4, the predecessor to the D4S, which means it's more than capable in low light. In fact, there's a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-12,800 with expansion settings pushing this to ISO 50-204,800.

Olympus OM-D E-M1

Olympus cameras like the OM-D E-M1 have a trick up their sleeve that can be very useful in low light conditions - Live Bulb mode.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III

Canon's 5D Mark III is an excellent 'all-rounder' SLR that has found favour with many enthusiast photographers as well as professional wedding and portrait photographers.
