Can a Quantaray 70-300mm lens be put on a Nikon D5100?
Can a Quantaray 70-300mm lens be put on a Nikon D5100?
If it is a F-Mount lens (that is, made for Nikon) then yes it can. However, Quantaray lenses are made in several different formats, so make sure you have one made for Nikon and not Canon, for example.
Also, the lens probably is not an AF-S type lens, so it may not autofocus on your camera as only the higher-end Nikon DSLRs have the prerequisite in-camera focus motor that the D5xxx and D3xxx cameras lack.
But other than having to manually focus the lens, it should work on your D5100 - provided it is the Nikon version.
