Camera help? Uv filters?

soccer!
soccer!

I have a pentax ME film camera with two diff lenses and many uv filters for the lens. So can my lens for the pentax ME fit on my Nikon J1 camera? Or can the filters fit on my camera lens? I know this may be dumb but I'm just hoping yes. Lenses are expensive and so are filters. Haha

At http://fotodioxpro.com/index.php you can find a Pentax K or PK lens mount to Nikon 1 lens mount adapter. Although the claim is that the adapter for the Pentax K or PK lens mount to the Nikon 1 lens mount allows for infinity focus, you will have NO automatic functions. The biggest drawback is that you'll have to use stop-down metering and that is a major pain.

With stop-down metering you first compose your picture with the lens wide open at its maximum aperture (f1.4, f2, whatever it is) and then, after deciding that you want to use, say, f11 as the taking aperture, stop the lens down to f11 and meter. As you stop down your viewfinder will get darker. Now meter, set the appropriate shutter speed and shoot. Obviously this isn't an ideal method for much other than landscape photography or architectural photography with your camera on a tripod. It certainly isn't useful at all for moving subjects.

The Nikon 1 lenses use filter diameters ranging from 40.5mm to 55mm. You'll need to check the Nikon 1 lens you have to see what filter diameter it uses and then see if any of the UV filters you have for your Pentax lenses are a match. At the Fotodiox site you can find step-up rings that will allow use of, say, a 55mm diameter filter on a lens requiring a 40.5mm filter diameter.

If you had the Pentax K-30 all your vintage Pentax manual focus lenses would mount without an adapter and meter as they should.
