Best Nikon camera for me?

I don't want a compact camera, but I'm no professional
I really want one that takes videos as well
Preferably Nikon
I'd most likely be taking pictures and videos of family, special occasions, nature, visits to the beach, birthdays, road trips, etc.
Any idea?

Why just Nikon?

Fujifilm's bridge cameras blow Nikon's L-series out of the water for a similar price.

Work out how much you want to spend and talk to a dealer - as long as you avoid Kodak, Benq, Vivitar and GE, you won't go far wrong, but take your blinkers off first.
