Best Compact System Camera?

Brad

Hi! I'm not a pro photographer but I'm past the beginner stages. I use a Canon DSLR most of the time but I want a compact system camera because it's easier to travel with it. I'm looking for over 10 megapixels, interchangeable lens, Wi-Fi capabilities (preferably not having to buy an additional adapter) affordable (500 but hopefully 200-300 dollars) and if possible, has a viewfinder, not just a LCD monitor. And SDHC card compatible. I was looking into the Nikon 1 Series, but they are really expensive compared to some other cameras, and don't have as many features. Well known brands are a plus for me too. Canon Sony Nikon (if it's worth the price) etc.
Thank you for the help! And please don't say just use a DSLR, I'm looking for a compact system camera.

Sony makes perhaps the highest image quality cameras in the NEX line, but unfortunately they are lacking in other areas; shutter lag and autofocus to name two areas.

Cameras like the Nikon 1 are indeed overpriced, but I bought my Nikon V1 last Dec for $299 when Nikon had deep discounts on them.

And even though I have a DSLR, the Nikon 1 is simply fun. I wanted the Nikon 1 system as the FT-1 mount lets me use my DSLR lenses with most features intact (autofocus, aperture control, etc).

As an owner of the V1, Nikon really has a winner with the Nikon 1 - except for price. There's no way I would buy my V1 for $899. Hopefully Nikon is going to realize this at some point. They are due to release the next generation (J4, S2, V3) this Sep, so it will be interesting if the price goes down any.

And if it doesn't, the V2 is surely going to be discounted next Dec for $299.
