Is this of any worry? Would I get less hired, say I have the Olympus OM-D EM-5, then if I would have a DSLR, say Nikon D600?

This goes for any and all jobs by some corporation. Like magazines and whatever else big like that. Freelance work. And anything else.

I have looked over many cameras and the ones I like the best are the Nikon D600 and the Olympus OM-D EM-5. I plan to become a working photographer once the time is right. And I want to make sure if corps out there care about the gear or not.

If you plan on shooting as a pro, you are going to have to have both an APS-C sensored and full frame camera. That eliminates using a 4/3rds camera.

Yes, some photographers have a 4/3rds camera, but they use the for "personal" work like when backpacking into the wilderness when weight is a consideration

Most clients who use photographer for supplying there photographic needs expect a certain level camera system and that is usually some kind of Nikon or Canon camera

The D600 is a rather amazing camera for being an entry level full frame camera.

At a recent assignment we used five photographers and one showed up with a cropped sensor Nikon and a 4/3rds camera. Our manager was not impressed. What it showed is that the "photographer" was not experienced enough to have picked a professional camera system and built upon that
