Why isn't my camera working?

I have a camera its a nikon cool pix S3000 and i had it for about 3 months and i haven't charged it in a while so i charged it but it wouldn't blink ( indicating that it is charging), so i unplugged it and plugged it again and it was blinking faster than usual and i let charge for a while and it still hasn't turned on i'm confused on why its not turning on any body help, i'm really worried.

Maybe take it back it should have a warranty still but maybe try a new battery or batteries?
