Why can't I see anything through the viewfinder now when I was able to 5 minutes ago?
I have a Nikon p90 I was taking pictures from a few minutes ago.
Lens cap is off.
I can think of two areas that may be causing the problem.
On superzooms I've owned (not the p90), it was an either or situation with the viewfinder and LCD.
Your camera has a button to switch between the viewfinder and LCD. You may have inadvertently pressed the button and turned on the LCD and shut off the viewfinder.
If this is not it, check if there's a power saving option in the settings menu that may turn off the LCD or viewfinder after a designated amount of time. Make it longer, or shut it off.
