Which Nikon SLR Camera to buy?
I'm looking to buy a Nikon SLR camera but don't know which model to get. I would like to spend around $600-$700… And i mainly take pictures of people and document pics of anything!
I'm 17 but i'm very passionate about photography and am currently taking an advanced photo class in school so it would be nice to have a camera of my own. Can someone help?
Nikon D3100
Get the Nikon D3100.It's a great camera for you.
Why Nikon? The canon t2i (650$) is the perfect dslr for your price range. Performs great in low light settings, has an 18mp sensor, and many many more great features. I highly suffer looking into this camera
I know you said nikon, but try to consider canon! It's seriously a great brand for cameras! EOS T2i maybe?
If you don't mind getting a factory demo (preforms and looks like new) then you can get a D5100 for $600 and a D3100 for $450 at Cameta Cameras.
Unless you're also going into video, you may wanna stick with Nikon. Nikon cameras usually do better in low light situations. The D3100 has more focus points than any of the entry level Canon dslrs and also a bigger sensor. The bump in megapixels on the Canon doesn't matter that much unless you plan on blowing up the image or cropping a lot.
So you don't even know which camera to get, yet you only want something from Nikon? Why limit yourself in the start?
Both Canon and Nikon are the same thing, none has better quality.
Canon EOS T2i and Nikon D3100 are your best options at this price range.
