Serious answer? OK. You know squat about cameras.

Fashion? A Hasselblad. Digital, that is.

Wildlife? A1DX or D4S with lenses so expensive they will make your eyes water.

Sports? Same as wildlife.

Commercial: digital Hasselblad again. Or a Phase One.

Street? A Leica M3

Marriage? Take your pick.

However, as you refuse to consider anything other than Canon and Nikon, I can't take your question seriously.

I'm with Mark…

If you had the necessary experience and knowledge 'needed' or 'required' to achieve your 'ambitions' (delusions)…

Then you wouldn't be asking such a nonsensical question.

Experience and skill create marketable and publishable images… Not expensive cameras.

WOW! You certainly cover a lot of work.
It doesn't matter whether you buy a Canon or Nikon. They are both good cameras, just as long as you know how to work it.

Whatever camera brand you decide upon will depend on two things: the model of whatever brand you choose and your level of proficiency. First, a camera is a camera is a camera is a camera… (etc). A camera is only as good as the skills and experiences of the person using it. I've said it before and I'll say it again: an expensive hammer ain't gonna make a better carpenter. And, as I've also said before, standing in a mechanic's garage for a day or a week or a month ain't gonna make anyone a mechanic. EVEN if you are fortunate enough to afford the top model of either the Canon or Nikon camera brands… Of what use will it be without the accompanying lenses… And without the skills, experience, training and know-how? What is "best" for ME, AIN'T necessarily what's "best" for you. I suggest that you get some experience in the field of photography and buy yourself a good, functional camera and learn the different aspects of photography before you go out and spend/waste a wad of cash on a supposed "best" camera; you may be disappointed with whatever others decide is "best" for you.
