What does it mean by Rear:58mm?

I'm looking at a 70-300mm sigma for the Nikon AF-D and on the specIfication it's said Filter Thread rear:58mm. What does that mean. And will a 58mm wide angle add on lens fit it? Here's the link for the Sigma and Add on lens. Thanks!

Who knows what Sigma is doing.
The Nikkor AF-S 70-300 mm lens uses a 67mm filter
The cheap add-on glorified filter will do none of its promises well and they are designed to be placed on 18-55 mm lenses. On a long lens like a 70-300 mm there's NO way that attachment can see a full 180 degrees which is what a fisheye does

Why would you want to put a wide angle lens on the front of a telephoto lens? You people get dumber every day…
