Nikon Built-in Speedlight Problem?
I have a Nikon F55-D Film SLR camera. The built-in speedlight was working fine until recently. Since yesterday, it is not popping out, no matter what mode I try, even on pressing the flash button. I believe that there might be a problem with the release mechanism. Could something be done to set it right (at home)?
Try lighting tapping on it with your finger while you are trying to pop it up. Definitely do not try forcing it up yourself. You can lightly lift with a razors edge to see if one side is giving you more of a problem than the other.
Worst case, take it in to get repaired.
