Thoughts about AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G?

I want a cheap low light lens.
What does everyone think about this one?

I have that lens myself and I'm very impressed with it.
If you can get it for a good price, go for it.

This is a good lens. For general shooting, this is a good focal length. If you want to do portraits, you're better off with the 50mm f/1.8 if your camera can handle AF lenses. I find the 35mm to have slightly better boke than the 50mm due to the rounded aperture leaves. Using this lens for low-light shooting, this is a good lens to use. It is also sharp at f/2.0 and smaller apertures and only slightly degraded at f/1.8 (you'll never notice the difference unless looking carefully). A comparison of the 35 & 50mm f/1.8 lenses:
